VANTON Montague Max, died peacefully in Victoria General Hospital on August 24, 2004. Survived by his loving wife Mae, son Toren, and many friends. Monte was born in Wales on February 22, 1918 and spent his early years with family in London and Wales. He joined the Merchant Marines at an early age. After the war he moved to North America. He is best known as a real estate developer, local businessman, writer, and idea man who was involved in international negotiations seeking peace – a real maverick. The funeral will take place grave-site at the Jewish Cemetery, Thursday, August 26, at 2:00 pm.
