His obituary published in the Victoria Times-Colonist on April 2 and 3, 2005 reads:

STOUWER, Bernard (Bob) October 3, 1946 April 1, 2005 Passed away peacefully with his family at his side. He is survived by his wife Ellen, daughter [edited for privacy], father-in-law [edited for privacy] mother [edited for privacy], his brother [edited for privacy] and his best buddy Rocky and all of his friends at the Victorian at McKenzie. The family wishes to thank, Drs [edited for privacy] and all of the wonderful staff of Hospice. A special thanks also goes out to [edited for privacy] for their friendship and support throughout Bob’s illness. Funeral Service at the Jewish Cemetery (Cedar Hill and Fernwood) at 1:30 on Sunday, April 3, 2005. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice would be appreciated.
