According to the Jewish Online Worldwide Burial Registry, he was born about 1845, in Filene, Prussia. This town, whose name in German was actually ‘Filehne’, is now known by the Polish name ‘Wielen’.
Death: April 14, 1887 in Victoria, B.C.
Notes:
Henry had been sick in hospital for some time before he died. The pallbearers were: E J Salmon, George Powell, W Gregory, Morris Moss and two other men from the Order of Chosen Friends.
