Erna Esther Marymont Landsberg

Biography:
Erna Marymont (or Marymort) travelled from Warsaw to the Pacific Coast in 1894 to visit her brother. Shortly after her arrival, she met Frederick Landsberg and they married in 1895. Erna visited Warsaw a couple of times to see her parents and three sisters.
During the course of their marriage, she and her husband experienced a number of financial ups and downs. Frederick had a number of businesses. In 1910, he established the Empire Realty Company with William Davies which flourished until 1914.
During the period of affluence the Landsbergs built a large house at 106 Medana Street. The house still stands and is designated as a heritage building.
The couple had 2 daughters, one of whom predeceased Erna Landsberg. The pallbearers were: P. Raymond, W. Gardiner, J. Savannah, M. Levy, J.H.A. Chapman, and Max Leiser.
