Benjamin “Benny” Kahan

Birth: November 28, 1922 in Lipton, Saskatchewan

Death: May 29, 2009 (age 86) in Nanaimo, B.C.

Biography:
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Benny, as he was fondly referred to by his friends, was born and raised on a farm near Lipton, which he later farmed himself. In 1975 he moved his family to Regina where he worked at Sears until his retirement. In 1995 Ben and Shirley retired to Nanaimo, although he always held Saskatchewan close to his heart. Ben’s greatest joy was his family; always the proud father and even prouder Grandfather. Ben had a green thumb and knew how to get anything to grow, he also loved entertaining and being with his friends playing cards, telling stories and of course practical jokes. He was a great sports enthusiast with the Habs and Riders being his teams.
