William David (Bill) Stroll died peacefully on December 20, 2023 Victoria, BC, aged 72, after a long and complex illness.

Cherished husband of Judith (Jay) Nefsky, father and father-in-law of Robyn Stroll and Chris Hermann, and Gregory Stroll. Beloved Zaide of Leo Hermann-Stroll.

Brother and brother-in-law of Steven and Susana Stroll, Gloria Schwartz, the late Roslyn Stroll, and the Nefsky-Laskin family.

Bill was born in Montreal to the late Robert Stroll and the late Belle Rosenfeld.

He will be dearly missed by Esther Stroll, many cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, former co-workers and volunteers in the various organizations he contributed to.

Bill strove to cultivate an open heart. He made a practice of it and his loving nature shone through in his final months and weeks, when he expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity to say good-bye to the many people he loved and those who crossed his path during medical care.
In this spirit of gratitude, the family extends our sincere and heartfelt thanks to the wonderful people of the BC Cancer Agency, the Royal Jubilee Hospital and the Victoria Hospice.
They helped Bill to make his final journey in dignity and peace.
