Biography:

Morris was the second son of Charles and Sonia Negin. He was born in Gatooma now Kadoma in Rhodesia now Zimbabwe. When Morris was about 5 years old the family moved to Salisbury, now Harare. He was one of four boys that survived and ultimately moved to Canada. A younger sister passed away at the age of  two and a half..

Morris went to school in Salisbury and was a very good sportsman, something he did almost all his life. He was a champion Lawn Bowls player and represented Canada at the Maccabiah Games in Israel a number of times. He was also an excellent bridge player.

Morris studied pharmacy but later went into the butchery business which he took over from his father, He married Cecelia Donin and they had 3 children, Leigh, David (dec) and Mandy. In 1978 they moved to Toronto. Morris worked in the retail and drug store business. All three of their children moved to British Columbia and so when Morris retired, he and Celia moved to Victoria. Celia, Leigh and Mandy live on Vancouver Island.

Morris was a jovial, fun loving person and was loved for his warm outgoing manner.
