Biography:
Joseph Lewis Levy, born in London in 1852 and came to Victoria, BC as a young man. He married Phoebe Levy in 1879.
He was a cigar maker, belonged to a Masonic Lodge and according to the Victoria Daily Colonist, he sang in a barbershop quartet. Joseph suffered from a long, difficult illness causing his family to struggle financially. He died on May 18, 1912 and is buried in the family plot with his wife and daughter.
