Biography:
The 1940 United States census showed that her father, Alex, was a ‘laborer’ doing Government work.
According to the WWII Army Enlistment Records for 1944, Rachel Broter enlisted and joined the Women’s Army Corps on December 18, 1944. She had completed four years of high school and was working as a stenographer and typist.
She received a Diploma in Secondary Education from U-Vic in 1980 from U-Vic.
