Biography:
Hyman arrived in Vancouver on July 24, 1916. He married Etta Goffee on June 17, 1918 in Seattle, Washington. The 1921 Canadian Census stated that Hyman immigrated from Russia to Canada in 1906. He and his wife and one year old Shirley were living in a four room rental apartment on Menzies Street. He owned his own Junk Dealership.

They moved to Victoria on June 1, 1921. The 1940 Voters list shows Hyman and Mrs. Kramer living at 139 Cook Street. Hyman’s occupation is recorded as merchant.
