The marker gives his birth year as 1893, but his British Columbia Vital Records Death Registration # 68-09-008027 gives his birth date as 18 March 1894. The 1911 Canadian Census also reported his birth date as March 1894.

Biography:
The 1911 Canadian census listed Louis as an American living with his parents and siblings at his parent’s home at 2514 Rock Bay Avenue. His occupation was listed as Plumber.

The January 26, 1917 edition of Victoria Daily Colonist reported that Pte. Louis Glazen went to war on August 1914 with the PPCLI, dispatch. He was injured which made him unfit for service. Louis was the first Jew from Victoria to return from the war.

Louis married Alma Beatrice Irvine Glazan March 18, 1918 in Seattle, Washington.
